NETBALL: Sri Lanka Netballers who had a fine record during the 7th Asian Netball Championship preliminary round to stay unbeaten made their way to the today's final when they defeated Thailand 84-44. They will now confront Singapore at the Juara Stadium, Bakit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia-Singapore beat hosts in the semi-final on Friday 51-39.

Lankans played well this season beating Hong Kong 80-72, India 103-27 Pakistan 102-12 and Malaysia 72-5 in the preliminary round to be right on top of Group `B'. Today, they come out to the field as firm favourites to win the championship for a second time in its history.
