Iodex promotes schools sports

 Marketing Director of GSK Consumer Healthcare Sri Lanka, Srikanth Selladurai hands over an Iodex physio kit to the Chief Guest, Minister of Sports, C. B. Rathnayake.

Iodex Balm, relief provider for muscle and joint related pains, marketed by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare - Sri Lanka, in its continued support for the development and nurturing of Sri Lankan schools sports, recently handed over a large number of sports physio kits to schools islandwide.

The distribution ceremony was preceded by a seminar on sports related injuries and prevention, conducted by Dr. Dhammika Senanayake of the National Institute of Sports Medicine.

Minister of Sports, C. B. Rathnayake Chief Guest, said "It is at the school level that we can identify the next generation of national athletes. Iodex's support of schools sports comes at a critical time, when the nation continues to search for the next Susanthika Jayasinghe or Shehan Ambepitiya Marketing Director of GSK Consumer Healthcare - Sri Lanka Srikanth Selladurai said, Iodex is passionate about uplifting the standards of Sri Lankan sports and understands how the fast and efficient healing of sporting injuries will add value to this cause. Over 150 representatives of 75 schools from Jaffna in the North to Batticaloa in the East and Matara in the South were invited to the event.
