Hambantota Port project:
Ministers fulfil vows
Government Ministers and Members of Parliament fulfilled vows at the
Jaffna Nallur Kanthaswamy Kovil on Thursday as stage I of Hambantota
port project has been successfully completed.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Ministers on a previous visit to
the Nallur Kovil invoked the blessings of the deities to liberate the
country from LTTE terrorism and make Sri Lanka the “Wonder of Asia”. A
pooja was also held to invoke blessings on the President and the
Government to launch mega development projects in the future.
Cooperatives and Inland Trade Minister, Johnston Fernando, Public
Administration and Home Affairs Deputy Minister, Dilan Perera and MPs
Namal Rajapaksa, Dilum Amunugama and ANCL editorial director Seelaratne
Senerath participated.
