25th Buddhist General Council in Sri Lanka

Six-hundred Buddhist delegates representing 164 regional centres from
40 countries are in Sri Lanka to attend the 25th General Council of the
World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB).
The event, which also marks the 60th anniversary of the WFB, is
hosted by the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress.
The program started yesterday with the Executive Council Meeting and
will continue till Wednesday.
The program for the event includes the General Council Meeting on
November 14, Business Forum, plenary session and committee meeting on
November 15 and Symposium and 60th anniversary celebrations on November
16.
The function will conclude on November 17, with the delegates
visiting the Sacred Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
