‘Protect the rebuilt nation’ theme of Freedom Day
‘Protect the rebuilt nation’ is the theme of this year’s 63rd
Independence Day celebrations at Kandasuridugama, Kataragama, under the
patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa on February 4.
President Rajapaksa will address the nation at 9.15 a.m. on February
4.
There will be gun salutes to honour the President and the nation. The
Army, Navy, Air Force, Police and Civil Defence Force members together
with artistes of cultural centres in Uva and students from the province
will participate in the Independence Day Parade. LSAW
