UNP Exco meets tomorrow to discuss future plans

The UNP Executive Committee will meet tomorrow at the party
headquarters ‘Sirikotha’ to discuss the party’s future development
activities after its humiliating defeat on Thursday.
UNP General Secretary, Tissa Attanayaka told the Sunday Observer that
all 87 members of the executive committee including UNP parliamentarians
will attend tomorrow’s meeting.
“We will also discuss the party’s election results at Thursday’s
Local Government election”.
Commenting on the results, Attanayaka said that the UNP contested as
a single party at the election sans any coalition with other parties and
increased the vote base by five percent.
