NDB geared for development in Hambantota

Development Bank PLC (NDB) opened its newest branch in Hambantota over
the weekend.
Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa opened NDB's 61st branch in Hambantota. NDB
Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya and CEO Russell de Mel were also present.
The Divi Aruna Livelihood Development Scheme was extended to the area
where 58 recipients engaged in traditional cottage industries producing
Kalu Dodol, Pottery and Handicrafts benefited from the loan scheme. Two
schools received musical instruments and books to their library as part
of NDB's CSR activities. NDB also built a school ground for one of the
schools.
