SLC Premier League inter-club tournament:
NCC struggle v. Colts
NCC, in reply to Colts CC’s commanding first innings total of 406 for
9 declared, were struggling at 181 for 7 at close on day two of their
Sri Lanka Cricket conducted Premier League Tier ‘A’ tournament three day
match continued at Havelock Park yesterday.
Colts must score a further 226 runs for the remaining three wickets
if they are to gain first innings as the final day’s play resumes at 10
am today.
Colts CC: 406 for 9 decl. (Harsha Vithana 90, Nisal Randika 91,
Roshen Silva 110 n.o, Akalanga Ganegama 3 for 74, Nishan Dilip 3 for
82).
NCC: 181 for 7 at close (Jehan Mubarak 44, Angelo Perera 65, Dilruwan

Baduraliya CC in a bad way
Baduraliya CC, after being forced to follow on, were struggling at 53
for 4 at close - still needing 151 runs to avoid innings defeat , on day
two of their Sri Lanka Cricket conducted Premier League Tier ‘A’
tournament three day match continued at Premadasa Stadium yesterday.
Centuries by Sachithra Serasinghe (154) and Isuru Udana (109 n.o)
helped Tamil Union to make a mammoth 420 for 9 declared. In reply,
Badyraliya CC were bowled out for 217 in their first innings against
some penetrative bowling by Cathura Randunu who captured five wickets
for 61 runs. The match will be continued at 10 am today.

Baduraliya SC: 217 all out (Shalika Karunanayake 89, Chathura Randunu

Sri Lanka Ports Authority CC, helped by a fine century by Shanuka
Dissnayake, is set to gain a comfortable first innings win over Air
Force SC on day two of their Sri Lanka Cricket conducted Premier League
Tier ‘B’ tournament three day match continued at Rifle Green yesterday.
In reply to Sri Lanka Ports Authority CC’s first innings total of 379
all out, the airmen were 268 for 9 at close in their first innings,
still 111 runs behind on the first innings. The match will be continued
at 10 am today.
Sri Lanka Ports Authority CC: 379 all out (Shanuka Dissanayake 131,
Dinusha Fernando 95, Akia Isanka 5 for 127, Buddika Sandaruwan 3 for
85).
SL Air Force SC: 268 for 9 at close (Thuppiah Nadeera 49, Angelo

Ajith's 10 for 122 put KYCC on top
Slow left-arm orthodox bowler Ajith Ekanayake completed a match bag
of 10 for 112 to give a good chance for Kurunegala Youth CC for an
outright win on day two of their Sri Lanka Cricket conducted Premier
League Tier ‘B’ tournament three day match continued at Welisara
yesterday.
Having surrendered by a mere three runs on the first innings,
Kurunegala YCC must now score 203 runs to win with all ten second
innings wickets in hand. The match will be continued at 10 am today.

BRC, after losing on the first innings, took an overall lead of 148
runs with only two second innings wickets in day on day two of their Sri
Lanka Cricket conducted Premier League Tier ‘B’ tournament three day
match continued at Panagoda yesterday. The match will be continued at 10
am today.
BRC: 136 all out (Safraz Farook 29 n.o, Janith Silva 6 for 50) and
258 for 8 at close (Vindika Chandrasiri 47, Eranga Gangoda 40, Nimesh

CCC, after securing a good first innings lead, are well set for a
comfortable outright victory over Saracens SC on day two of their Sri
Lanka Cricket conducted Premier League Tier ‘B’ tournament three day
match contuned at Maitland Crescent yesterday.
Saracens SC takes an overall lead of mere 61 runs with only two
second innings wickets in has as CCC team is well set for an early win
when the final day’s play resumes 10 am today.
Saracens SC: 169 all out (Gamindu Kanishka 49, Nuwan Kavinda 30,
Wikum Sanjaya 4 for 57, Ranil Dhammika 3 for 34, Nuwan Perera 3 for 38)
and 159 for 8 at close (Amila Sandaruwan 34, Suranga Lakmal 34, Ranil
Dhammika 3 for 36).
CCC: 267 all out (Sanath de Silva 78, Madawa Warnapura 38, Wikum

Police SC fight-back
An unfinished eighth wicket partnership of 93 runs between Eranda
Harshaka (64 n.o) and Ruwantha Kallepotha (45 n.o) helped Police SC to
fight back on the final day of their Sri Lanka Cricket conducted Premier
League Tier ‘B’ tournament three day match continued at Panadura
Esplanade yesterday.
Trailing by 208 runs on the first innings and forced to follow on,
Police SC were 139 for 7 when Kallepotha joined Harshaka and ther pair
batted beautifully for 37 overs to hold Panadura SC for an honourable
draw.
Panadura SC: 393 all out (Dinesh Ranga Cooray 166, Tharanga
Priyadarshana 65, Manjula Jayawardene 3 for 56).
Police SC: 185 all out (Ravin Nirmal 43, Harsha de Silva 66, Danuja
