Fine double by Pasindu Madushan

Ananda's Pasindu Madushan's fine effort of a match bag of 13 for 109 and a well struck 77 was the highlight of the drawn school encounter between St. Anthony's Katugasthota and Ananda concluded at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.

In reply to the Anthonians 182 in the first innings Ananda were 162 for 3 overnight and they advanced to 305 with Madushan scoring 77.

The Anthonians going for the second time with a deficit of 123 were 211 for 7 with Manoj Sarathchandra top scoring with an useful 82. Yohan Woods was the second best scorer with 41.

St. Anthony's: 182 (Yohan Woods 53, Pasindu Madushan 8 for 51 and 211 for 7 at close (Yohan Woods 41, Manoj Sarathchandra 82, Sachin Bulathsinhala 20, Pasindu Madushan 5 for 58, Isuru Gunasekera 2 for 51).
