A pavilion which could be used by small and medium scale industrialists to display their products has been proposed by Minister of Industries Rohitha Bogollagama.

"Small scale industrialists lack the marketing capabilities which large companies possess. That is why we need to help them to come to the fore. Infrastructure is an integral part in this endeavour. We hope to establish the exhibition and trade centre within this year in Kandy," the Minister said at a recent seminar for small and medium industrialists.

Productivity was another sector that he addressed at the seminar. "Productivity in the industrial sector may not be quite high in some instances. However, this could be changed if we can create an industrial culture in the island," he said.
