Sri Lanka cricketers visit the Dilmah home

MJF Group of Companies (Dilmah), joined hands with cricket opening a new chapter in the history of Sri Lankan cricket and in the promotion of Ceylon Tea, as the official team sponsors from October 2001 to September 2004.

A legacy left behind by the Britishers, tea and cricket blend beautifully as the national pride of Sri Lanka.

The 29th of January 2002 was a historic occasion at the Dilmah home, when the Sri Lankan cricket champs visited the head office and factory, sharing a closeness with the Dilmah team.

It was a warm welcome with the bowling of the conch shell, beating of the drums, Kandy dancers and lighting of the oil lamp. It was all smiles and cheering in the atmosphere when the founder presented the special trophies to Chaminda Vaas and Muthiah Muralitharan for their special achievements and souveniers to all others.
