JCT records 81 moves per hour

Employees attached to the Colombo Port's Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) had maintained normalcy in attendance during the Independence Day holiday last week resulting in the JCT recording 81 moves per hour on this day, the Sri Lanka Ports Authority said in a news release.

The main line container vessels handled at JCT on February 4 recorded very high productivity with a peak of 81.4 moves per hour on MV Newportbay, a vessel owned by P&O Nedlloyd. The hourly productivity of this vessel has shown over 100 moves per hour, at times reaching 117 moves.

The release further said that APL Agate had also achieved a vessel productivity of 68.4 moves per hour.
