Kid Zone at Keells Hotels

Keells Hotels recently launched 'Kid Zone,' a club for children between four and 12 years of age at the Club Intersport Complex at Bentota.

Over 70 children participated in the event which was hosted by 'Aunty Wilma and Uncle Fred' of Flintstones fame.

The launch was followed by games conducted by Kid Zone animators, elephant rides, face painting competitions, animation show, a magic show, a buffet lunch and tea, all of which was free for Kid Zone members.

A special offer for Kid Zone parents was also made available at Bentota Beach Hotel as well as Hotel Ceysands.

Mr. Kehelpannala, Director Marketing, Keells Hotels stated that this was another step towards achieving their goal of creating top getaways for tiny travellers and becoming a family-friendly chain of hotels.

He stressed that emphasis will not be laid on relaxation and enjoyment alone, but also on awareness programmes and educational activities highlighting our natural heritage, environment and culture. Some of the benefits enjoyed by the Kid Zone members are free stays at any Keells hotel, gifts on each stay at a Keells hotel, invitations to educational events and fun filled parties and a free birthday cake if a member celebrates his or her birthday at any Keells hotel.

The next programme planned for Kid Zone members will be an education and fun programme at Coral Gardens Hotel, Hikkaduwa on turtle and coral conservation in mid-March.

The membership currently stands around 160 and the first 200 members will be entitled to join the club free of charge.

The membership will be limited to 500.
