G.C.E. (A/L) in April

by ANJANA GAMAGE

The decision taken by the previous government to hold the GCE (A\L) Examination in April instead of August will not be changed and therefore the GCE (A\L) examination will be held from April 22 to May 18 this year, Examination Department sources told the "Sunday Observer".

"This year the A\L examination will be held only according to the new syllabus and the candidates who earlier sat for the old syllabus will have to adjust to the new syllabus, sources further said. According to Education Ministry sources, the new step will reduce the delay in university entrance.
