'Ranaviru Mela' on March 8 to 13

'Ranaviru Mela' has been organised by the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemens' Association to assist montessori and primary school education of needy and destitute members of the three services.

The main attraction will be a static display of the most sophisticated military equipment of the three services at "Ranaviru Mela" which will be held at Viharamahadevi park from March 8 to 13 2002. This will be for the entire family.

There will be trade stalls for bargain hunters before the Sinhalese New Year,in clothes, textiles and household goods etc, Wonder World Entertainment for children at Sathutu Uyana late evening musical shows for music lovers and teenagers with best artists where you can spend time from 9.30 am to 10.30 p.m. daily".

Former Air Chief, Air Vice Marshal Harry Gunatillake, President Ex-Servicemens Association (SLESA) said.

SLESA which is the umbrella organisation for 26 affiliated associations with over 40,000 members around the island from the three services.Sir John Kotelawela was its President for 33 years since 1948.
