Villa Ocean View bags 'Gold Choice Award' for 2nd time

Villa Ocean View Hotel Wadduwa was awarded the 'Gold Choice Award' for the second time within 3 Years, by First Choice Holidays Ltd, one of the leading tour operators in UK.

This prestigious award is based on customer feed back on a year round basis for achieving consistently high customer service satisfaction levels, as rated by 'First Choice' customers and, was awarded to Villa Ocean View Hotel, covering the periods, Winter 2000/2001 and Summer 2001.

First Choice Holiday which began its operation to Sri Lanka in 1995 has used Villa Ocean since the inception. Wedding packages of First Choice Holiday too are quite popular, with the hotel accounting for more than 70% of these bookings, out of a total of 400 foreign weddings the hotel has handled so far. This package includes a free elephant ride and all the trimmings of a Sri Lankan wedding, with the traditional poruwa ceremony.

Villa Ocean View with its spacious gardens and swimming pool complex with a kiddies pool, along with its sumptuous buffets on weekends and holidays, has become a typical family hotel, drawing large crowds.

The hotel has become very popular with the local clientele for overnight stays too and is nearly always full, especially over long weekends, with its cabana style and superior wing, air-conditioned rooms. Recreation and sports facilities are varied, with a flood lit Tennis Court, Badminton Court, Beach Volley Ball, Mini Gold Course, Table Tennis, Pool Table and Darts. The hotel even boasts of a make shift cricket grounds, for cricket lovers. Evening entertainment too is available with a modern Karaoke set up owned by the hotel, Disco Music, Calypso Music etc.

Villa Ocean View Hotel which has undergone a recent change in ownership has embarked on a comprehensive refurbishing program with the bed rooms being given a face lift, along with swimming pool deck area, the enlarging of the Banquet Hall and developing and modernising the Ayurvedic Centre.
