Tea Auction information via SMS

Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers in association with Dialog GSM has introduced a sales information solution which provides real-time information relating to transactions at the Colombo Tea Auctions.

Developed for use via Short Message Service (SMS) on Dialog GSM mobile phones, the information available on demand is segmented according to the needs of different user categories such as superintendents or proprietors, CEOs, division managers and buyers.

This system of segmentation of information will ensure that a customer is not inundated by superfluous information but instead receives relevant and pertinent data.

According to a Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers news release, it is the only broker to offer web-based trading facilities to its clients.

Dialog GSM CEO Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya said: "This new service will be available to our mutual customers wherever they are in the world within our international roaming network which now spans over 100 countries, and incur only the minimal cost of transmitting a few short messages."
