ANNARATNAM SUBRAMANIAM.   Daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Kanagasabai of Araly East, beloved wife of the late C. Subrmaniam (Orator), loving mother of Kanthaswamy, Gnanaranjini, Pathmasany, Chitsabesan and Dr Vasanthan, mother-in-law of Malini, Dr Puvanarajan, late Dr Kandiah, Kumudini and Dr Premila, dearest grandmother of Janani, Waani, Senthuran, Yaamini, Lohita, Praneeta, Dr Thayalan, Dr Anjali, Mahen, Mithran, Lakshman and Rishi and loving sister of the late Pavalammah, late Rasapackiam and the late Navaratnarajah, passed away on 15.01.2002 in Hartlepool and the cremation took place on 20.01.2002 in London. BAKMEEDENIYA - DAISY KUMARIHAMY -   DAISY KUMARIHAMY of Bakmeedeniya Walawwa, Pathakade, passed away quite mindfully at the age of 97 years. Funeral took place as per her wishes.

Cremation 24.03.02 Sunday. Cortege leaves at 1.30 p.m. for Galkissa Cemetery from 31/13, Samudrasanna Place, Mount Lavinia. 

BONGSO ­ HADJIANI FAREEDA   Beloved wife of T.R. Bongso (Retired Chief Inspector of Police), loving mother of Tariq (Doha), Reza, Chintan (Riyadh), Faizal (Lankpro - Rupavahini Newsreader), sister of Jameela Johar, late T.A. Raheem, Dearin, late Sithy, mother-in-law of Shermanpali, Neelanthi, late Iqbal Shariffdeen, grandmother of Rohaya Azlan, Manesha, Tarini, Renesh, Zeenath, Javed, Teshani, expired on 17th March. Janaza took place on 17th 369, Nawala Road, Nawala. 

DE ZOYSA ­ SISERA.   Beloved wife of late Alfred De Zoysa, loving mother of Damayanthi and Asoka, mother-in-law of Asoka Siriwardane, dearest grandmother of Rapti and Tarin, expired on 22nd Feb. The last rites were performed on 23rd Feb, at a private funeral in accordance with her wishes. 

FERNANDO ­ ALEXANDER PAUL (K.A.P.)   Retired District Engineer - C.G.R. Dearly beloved husband of the late Gertrude, loving father of Felix, Rita, Clinton, Terence and Sheila (all of Sydney) and Carmen (New Zealand), father-in-law of Malanie, Anita, Dey, David & Palitha, grandfather of Sheranie, the late Burnie, Ivor, Trevor, Yohan, Milanie, Chester, Glen, Sharmalie, Angela, Natasia & Sheranie, great grandfather of Shamishka, Michelle, Daniel, Ebony, Christina, Stephanie, Anisha & Seshan, passed away peacefully on the 15th of March in Sydney. Burial took place in Sydney after a brief funeral service on the 20th of March No.16, Edgar Street, Yagoona NSW, Australia.

Beloved husband of Ruth Rasamalar, loving father of Sri Rangkanathan (KSA), Sathianathan (USA), Mahendiranathan (UK), Ruby (UK), Jeganathan (Australia), Yoganathan (Canada), Daisy (Canada) and of Loganathan (Australia), father-in-law of Sarojana, Lali, Shantha, Michael, Amirthini, Raji, Thevapalan and of Renuka, grandfather of Sudarshini, Lorinda, Cryshanthy, Nylanthy, Naomi, Jason, Angelina, Andrew, Priyan, Roshan, Amirtha, Arni, Rebecca, Hannah, Jessica and of James, great grandfather of Joel and Sebastian, passedaway peacefully on 18th March 2002. Beloved husband of Grace Sobithamanie, loving father of Lesley Sureshkumar (Australia), Prince Vijitkumar (Maldives), Kingsley Rameshkumar and Stanley Ranjitkumar (Maldives), father-in-law of Dilki (Australia) and Noeline Sukhila (Maldives), brother of Chandravathana, Sarojini, Jebaranjan (Rasa), Ravindran (Rajan) and Jayanthi, brother-in-law of Christy Selvarajah, Dr Kamalananthan, Jessey, Leleen, Chandrakumar & Padmini Thabendren, beloved son of late Mr & Mrs E.R. Navaratnam and son-in-law of late Mr & Mrs S.P. Sabaratnam, expired. Remains will lie at 19/1, Beach Road, Mt. Lavinia from Saturday 23rd March 3.00 p.m. onwards.
