Peace parade: While Catholic and Christian communities around the world commemorated Good Friday with a series of religious ceremonies, a large group of men and women took to the streets in a unique ‘Peace Parade’ that re-accentuated the need of the moment - Peace. The parade, comprising men, women and children, all clad in white, set off from the Ramakrishna Hall Wellawatte and wound its way to Viharamahadevi Park, via Bambalapitiya and Kollupitiya, fuelling both curiosity and consensus.
