Versatile machine launched by Metropolitan

Canon imageRunner, the machine that prints, scans, photocopies, faxes, staples and folds was introduced to Sri Lanka's corporate sector recently.

It was launched at a conference titled 'Awakenings' which dealt with the current and future developments in information technology and was organised by Metropolitan Group, the sole agent for Canon in Sri Lanka.

It also has the enhanced features of mail box printing, which allows users to send print data to personal mail boxes and page composer, enabling users to combine and print documents created in different applications as a single document with secured prints.

The imageRunner is designed to ensure peak productivity with faster scanning, printing and copying and maximum durability to reduce maintenance costs, said a spokesman of Metropolitan.

CEO of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology Dr Lalith Gamage addressed the gathering on recent technological advancements, CEO of Dialog GSM Dr Hans Wijayasuriya spoke on mobile commerce while representative from Canon Singapore Roger Blacker spoke on international trends in imaging and changing consumer needs.
