Stanley Kosgodage President MFA

Stanley S. Kosgodage of Dimos was elected President of the Mercantile Football Association (MFA) at the annual general meeting held last Tuesday at FFSL Headquarters. This year is the second term he is serving in the capacity of president and earlier he was treasurer for a period of 23 years and once he was Vice-President.

Stanley Kosgodage took over from another stalwart - Ranjith Pandithage who held the post for many years.

Mr. Kosgodage has played in 'A' division football, having represented Rudra Playground, Wellawatte and he also played for City Football League and also for Saunders. He also represented Dimo SC in Mercantile 'A' division football many years.

Earlier, he was a keen sportsman at Dehiwela MMV and captained the athletic team and was a leading player in the rugby football team.

General Secretary: M. Muhiseen Ariff (Airport and Aviation), Asst. Secretary: N. M. Jansz (John Keells).

Treasurer: Anton Atapattu (Aitken Spence), Asst. Treasurer: J. F. Cassim (Grand Hotel).
