Sri Rahula in 101-run win over Sri Sumangala

Sri Rahula College, Katugastota scored a 101-run win over Sri Sumangala College, Kandy to regain the 'Dahamsonna Trophy' in their fourth limited over clash of the 'Battle of the Golds' played at the Asgiriya Stadium.

Samitha Fernando of Sri Rahula College was adjudged 'Man of the Match' for his invaluable knock of 86 runs with 9 fours which virtually won the match for the Katugastota school.

Sri Rahula College 213 all out in 49 overs (Rishi Wedage 20, Samitha Fernando 86, V. Prasanna 12, S. Jayaweera 13, A. Udayakumara 18, Extras 47, P. Priyashantha 5 for 30, S. Jayasinghe 2 for 34, W. Wijeratne 2 for 27).

Sri Sumangala College 112 all out in 41.2 overs (V. Jayawardena 16, W. Wijeratne 20, A. Udayakumara 4 for 20, N. P. Peiris 2 for 12, N. Atapattu 2 for 18).

With this win Sri Rahula lead the series with two wins against one by Sri Sumangala with one match being drawn.
