Germany's CAS helps Cancer Hospital Sri Lanka Cancer Aid Society (SriLanka Krebshife e.V.) of Kroonhorst 33, 22549, Hamburg, Germany, on Friday gave Rupees five million worth of hospital equipment to the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama. The Society founded by a Sri Lankan couple Gerald Gunasekera and Ms. Sunitha Gunasekera and six other women last year had financed the renovation and construction of a Children's Clinic including a Waiting Hall at the Hospital. The present donation was made at a simple ceremony held at the hospital premises in the presence of Deputy Director General of Health Dr. Ajith Mendis included medical equipments, beds, mattresses, wheel chairs and crutches for the use of the patients. Cancer Hospital Committee Chairman Dayasiri Warnakulasooriya, founder member of Sri Lanka Krebshife e.V. Gerald Gunasekera and several others were present at the ceremony. |
