The Association of Primary Dealers appointed new office-bearers at its annual general meeting held recently.

Mr. Ajantha Madurapperuma was appointed President of the Association. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research, USA. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Mr. Madurapperuma is Director and Chief Executive Officer of Seylan Bank Asset Management Limited, a fully-owned subsidiary of Seylan Bank Ltd. and a primary dealer appointed by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Mr. N. K. Dahanayake of Ceybank Securities Ltd., the Bank of Ceylon subsidiary was appointed as the Secretary of the Governing Council. Ms. Chiranthi Jayakuru of NSB Fund Management Co. Ltd. was appointed as the Treasurer and Mr. R. M. P. Ratnayake of HNB Securities as the Vice President. Mr. Dula Weeratunge of Commercial Bank Primary Dealers Ltd. was the immediate past president of the Association.
