Lufthansa Cargo workshop

Lufthansa Cargo, Colombo recently conducted a seminar on 'Time Definite Live and Fresh Shipments.' Lufthansa Cargo experts from Germany, Markus Kaifel, Product Development Manager and Nicole Wilhelm, Product Manager of Lufthansa Cargo were here to conduct the seminar.

The main focus of the workshop was to update the local industry with regard to the latest developments made by Lufthansa Cargo in handling live and fresh shipments.

Lufthansa Cargo also has tailor-made packages for individual clients depending on their requirements.

Over 50 participants from suppliers to freight forwarders attended the seminar.

Lufthansa Cargo Colombo's live shipments include cattle, horses, dogs, cats, reptiles, parrots, bears and ornamental fish. Its main clients are Keells Aquariums, Lumbini Aquarium and Aqua Marine, while clients in the fresh segment are Tess Agro, Mack International and J. C. Foods.

Lufthansa Cargo currently operates three MD11 freighters through Colombo, and 14 MD11 and seven B747 freighters worldwide via Frankfurt for time definitive services.

Lewis Brown Air Services, an associate company of the Delmege Group, is the general sales agent for Lufthansa Cargo in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.
