Four more PSD men to be quizzed

Four more bodyguards of the Presidential Security Division (PSD) involved in the shooting case where several supporters of Deputy Minister Sagala Ratnayake were injured seriously last November will be questioned soon, CID sources told the "Sunday Observer".

Meanwhile four officers of the Ministerial Security Division (MSD) who were serving as bodyguards to the former Minister, Mangala Samaraweera have also been questioned in this connection.

The shooting incident took place in Akuressa area when Minister Mangala Samaraweera was being escorted by MSD and PSD officers in several motorcades. Security officers from both MSD and PSD are alleged to have opened fire on Minister Sagala Ratnayake's supporters causing serious injury to one person. Several other persons who sustained injuries in the attack were warded at the Matara hospital.
