Army join CR in the lead while Jayasinghe stays at the top

As the voting hotted up Army Sports Club with 36 votes joined last week's leaders CR & FC which also had 36 votes after the second week's count to jointly lead the popularity vote for the Caltex-Observer Touchdown 'Most Popular Rugger Team 2002'. Kandy Sports Club was in second place with 29 votes.

Meanwhile, CR & FC's Chamara Sumedha Jayasinghe polled 64 votes to remain at the top in the vote for the 'Most Popular Ruggerite'. In second place was Army's Ajith Peiris with 22 votes.

This rugby poll is jointly sponsored by Caltex and the 'Observer' with Caltex as the principal sponsor offering several handsome prizes. The lucky winner of the weekly draw is J. Chandradasa of No. 8/10, Peradeniya Road, Kandy who will receive a gift from Caltex shortly.
