'Bowling' with Ritzbury

Ritzbury chocolates are sponsoring the third annual Inter Bank bowling competition at the Y2K bowling centre Darley Road commencing on June 15 at 9 a.m.

Fifteen Banks have enroled around 50 to 60 teams and there is to e stiff competition from Amana Bank and Seylan Bank the winners of the last two years who are intent on keeping their reputation intact.

The finals will be held on June 26, Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Out of the 60 teams that have entered 24 teams will be selected for the first round and 12 of the highest scoring teams will be selected out of that for the second round.

For the finals six of the best will be chosen and the winners, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up will receive a trophy and medals.

The banks participating are Union Bank, Hong Kong and Shanghai banking Corporation (HSBC), Pan Asia Bank, Amana Investments, Commercial Bank, ANZ Grindlays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, City Bank, Seylan Bank, Hatton National Bank, Pramuka Bank, Amana Takaful Bank, Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank and Nations Trust Bank.

Sun FM(ABC Radio Networks)are the media sponsor and Y2k bowling centre is providing the required games for the event.

Each participating team will have to pay an entry fee of Rs 300/-.
