Galle Face Green ideal place to see UFOs - Arthur C. Clarke

The recent reports of UFOs - Unidentified Flying Objects, surfacing from all over the world, eventually turned out to be IFOs - Identified Flying Objects, says Arthur C. Clarke.

Clarke, the author of many books on space travel, and science fiction in a statement, says he believes in the possibility of life in any part of the universe, on planets which are habitable. But, he does not believe that aliens are visiting us in secret, or communicating with any earth being. Under certain weather or light conditions, many objects in the night sky, as Venus, the moon, or meteors can be mistaken as strange objects. One report of a UFO was made by Jimmy Carter, who later became president of the United States. The object turned out to be Venus.

The Galle Face Green is a good place to see UFOs. In the evening, you could see a rich variety of objects in the sky - some natural, others man- made. With a little imagination, one could come up with a story that can easily get on to the front page or prime time news. Perhaps that's exactly what laymen and scientists have been doing in recent days.
