Caltex-Observer Touchdown CR and Jayasinghe extend lead CR & FC polled a further 77 votes during the third week to lead by 113 votes to Army's 82 while Old Zahirians Sports Club polling 43 votes for a total of 55 overtook Kandy SC (38) for third place in the Caltex-Observer Touchdown rugby quiz for the `Most Popular Rugger Team' 2002. Meanwhile, in the contest to pick the `Most Popular Ruggerite', CR & FC's C.S. Jayasinghe had a clear lead over his rivals polling 48 votes during the week for a total of 112 votes. In second place was Army's T.A. Silva (36) while Rinoz Hanis of Old Zahirians SC jumped into third place with a total of 32 votes followed by Nalaka Weerakkody of Kandy SC (22). The lucky winner of a Caltex gift pack is H.M.M.Lebbe of BD/ Elladaluwa tamil Vidyalaya, Hali-Ela who will receive it shortly from Caltex. The contest is jointly organised by Caltex and the `Observer'with Caltex as the principal sponsor. |
