Cathay increases flights to Colombo

Cathay Pacific Airways announced last week that it will add a fourth weekly flight to Colombo from August 4.

This additional flight will offer more choice to both passengers and cargo customers and make more efficient use of Cathay Pacific aircraft, airline officials said at a news conference in Colombo last week.

The new frequency will see operations to Hong Kong via Bangkok every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with return flights from Hong Kong to Colombo via Bangkok every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The airline will operate the service with a Boeing 777-300 configured with 59 Business Class seats and an enlarged 323-seat Economy Class cabin.

Cathay Pacific also announced the return of cabin crew to Colombo to maximise operational efficiency.

James Finlay and Co. (Colombo) Ltd. is the general sales agent for the airline in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
