Core banking solutions for DFCC Bank

DFCC Bank, the flagship product of System Access, has selected netSYMBOLS, to upgrade its computer system and implement a core banking solution. By utilizing netSYMBOLS, DFCC Bank aims to raise the level of customer service while expanding its scope of operations.

The bank will be implementing netSYMBOLS loan origination, commercial lending, deposit, treasury and knowledge manager modules.

"The bank while expanding its operations in commercial lending, corporate finance and capital markets plans to leverage its customer base by offering new products and services. netSYMBOLS has the flexibility to facilitate product development to satisfy customer needs and implement an integrated suit of business application systems that can evolve to meet the changing business needs of the bank," Sidath Wijeratne, Senior Vice President - IT of DFCC Bank said.

He added: "The flexibility of netSYMBOLS to accommodate the existing loan portfolio together with its differentiated features and the ability to deploy and interface seamlessly to Oracle-based products were critical prerequisites for the selection of the system." netSYMBOLS application architecture is centred around a customer relationship foundation that facilitates customer knowledge, interaction, and relationship development and also enables the bank to manage risk at the customer relationship level."System Access will be training the DFCC staff on its development methodology and enabling the in-house team in the implementation process", Alex Ly, Director Business Development, System Access, said. MphasiS-BFL will conduct the project management for this implementation. Headquartered in Bangalore and California, MphasiS has a strong presence in the banking and financial sector.
