CHC launches 'Thanayama' The Ceylon Hotels Corporation (CHC) launched the 'Thanayama' membership card at a ceremony held at the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management, Colombo 3, with Minister of Tourism, Gamini Lokuge as the chief guest. Explaining details of the 'Thanayama' membership card, Chairman Ceylon Hotels Corporation, Bodhisir, Ranasinghe said the main purpose of this scheme is to offer Sri Lankans and expatriates an opportunity to enjoy a holiday with their families at a star class hotel, at a special price. He explained that the card holder will be entitled to a twenty five percent off on accommodation, twenty percent off on food and fifteen percent off on beverages from all CHC hotels, rest houses and motels islandwide. Bodhi explained that in addition to the above, the card holder could use the same facilities on a different scheme offered by the Kandy Hotels Ltd. which owns Queens Hotel and Suisse Hotel because 76 percent of the shares of these hotels are owned by the Ceylon Hotels Corporation. The facilities offered to 'Thanayama' card holders by these hotels are 20 percent off on accommodation, and 15 percent off on food and beverages. All 'Thanayama' membership card holders are also entitled to the free use of the swimming pool. The CHC Chairman said the 'Thanayama' is a very attractive package offered by the CHC specially to Sri Lankans and expatriates.The card holder, his wife and two children are entitled to the facilities offered by the 'Thanayama' membership card. Additional members of a family will be charged accordingly.The 'Thanayama' cards are available at the Travel Bureau of the Ceylon Hotels Corporation head office, at No. 411, Galle Road, Colombo 4. by Beverley Jansz. |
