Fave. colour: Orange

Trendy outfits: Yes. But not loud outfits. I prefer to wear suits but off duty its T-shirts and shorts for me.

If you could change anything about yourself what would it be and why: I'd like to change my temper. Be more cool so that my quick reaction won't hurt people. Fave. music: Reggae. I'm an out and out Bob Marley fan from the days of my youth. At home its nothing but reggae, selective tracks!

Fave. song of 1990 - Mr. Lover Man - Shabba Rank.

Embarrassing day: It was the day I was DJing alone at the Blue Elephant. It was a pre-poya night and the floor was packed, when suddenly the entire sound system packed up and I had to close down for the evening. The crowd was disappointed and started to hoot and jeer at me. I ran away to the pantry and hid!

Qualities you like in a girl: She should be understanding and independent able to manage on her own.

What's your meaning of life: To be fair and equal to everybody which does not happen in Sri Lanka. If I could contribute towards this then living would be happiness. What would you have liked to have been in a past life: I would have liked to have been a fish. I love the sea and I can wait for hours in the water.

Which character would you like to play in a film: An underground villain who is ruthless and calculating.

What would be your greatest achievement in life: To be a General Manager of a chain of hotels.

What magazines do you make it a point to read: Time, Newsweek and Readers' Digest.

Who do you admire in life: I don't think I will achieve what my father has done. I admire him tremendously. He is retired and in the States now. He wanted me to further my studies. But I didn't. If I had I wouldn't be here today answering your questions! He is an understanding man.

What would you do if you ruled the world: Help the poor and reduce the gap between rich and poor.

What do you think life will be like in the year 3000: I dread to think of that period. As it is the world is cruel and bad. When 3000 comes around, I don't know what it would be like.

When you finish off with work, what keeps you awake at night: Nothing keeps me awake. I sleep no sooner I hit the bed!

What's your top tip on becoming a star DJ: Be daring. Play your own music and have an identity. Don't worry about what other's have to say.

When you reach 70 years will you Kapila and Naushad still be friends: Undoubtedly. There's no team like KNH.
