Best Friends (or are they?)

Ever notice how your best friend can sometimes be your worst enemy? Hopefully everybody has a best friend, or at least somebody they're really close with. So everyone can relate to this article.

You'd think that best friends would always hang out with each other, no matter what. But this isn't always the case, as I'm experiencing right now with my best friend (don't worry, she won't be reading this). Sometimes you don't feel like talking to them because you have nothing to talk about; you know everything about each other so the only thing left to talk about is gossip or the other insignificant things that are happening in your life at the moment. Sometimes they can be so boring because you know who they are, and they want to do the SAME things every time, and you're tired of that. You just don't have anything interesting to do cause you've done it all.

Now I don't know if this happens to everyone; maybe I just have a screwed up relationship. But sometimes, when I'm with a group of friends, I'll kinda ignore my best friend and leave her as the last to talk to. Because you've spent so much time with her, and not enough with your other friends, you know she can wait until later. You know no matter what happens, or how many fights you get into, she'll still be your best friend the next day.

Sometimes, you'll be so blunt and rude with them because you know, no matter what you say, she's your best friend and you're allowed to hurt her feelings because she'll still be your friend the next day. And she'll even criticise you if your somewhat better than her at some things; always trying to bring you down because she's insecure and jealous. She won't drop something until she proves she's right, or better than you. And even SOMETIMES you're confined to them, or labelled. Someone can't mention your name without mentioning your best friends name.

Like Bernie & Amanda or Jane & Mary...And every time you go somewhere, people ask you "Well, where's your best friend? I thought you'd invite her?" Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying that having a best friend it wrong.

Like I said before, no matter how many fights or arguments you have, your friend will always be there, thick or thin, to help you though everything.
