Foreign training for varsity executives

by Anjana Gamage

The Ministry of Tertiary Education and Training has selected 42 executive officers for further training in their respective fields and, of this figure, 13 will be trained in Norway and England. Those eligible for training will be given two years study leave.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Tertiary Education and Training Kabir Hashim when he met the executive officers attached to 13 universities and 3 faculties at their annual general meeting held recently.

Meanwhile, a committee has been appointed to look into the non-payment of salary anomalies and arrears for sometime for university authorities.
