Your Grace,

It gives me great pleasure to express my warm felicitations on this memorable occasion, when your Grace is appointed as the eighth Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Colombo.

Your Grace assumes office at a time when the country is facing very important challenges in its search for meaningful and sustainable peace and economic stability, I am certain that with you astute vision and dedication to service you will be able to provide leadership to the church, the Nation and to our peoples as well as to the process of peace and reconciliation. May God bless Your Grace in the people's service with good health and long life.
