GCE A/L results on website

The results of the GCE A\L examination held in April this year were released yesterday by the Examination Department. According to the Examination Commissioner A.M.R.B. Amarakoon, candidates are able to check their results on the department's website- www.doenets.lk

The department has also made arrangements to issue a separate results sheet for every A\L candidate from this year.

Earlier only private candidates received separate sheets and school candidates were required to check their results in the school register.

The results of the outstation schools will be posted on Monday while Colombo schools can collect their sheets from the department, sources said.

Meanwhile schools which have not been used as the A\L examination centres have got their August school vacation from the 1st to the 25th and those schools used as A\L centres will be on holiday from August 17 to 25, Education Ministry sources said. The third term of the year will commence on September 24.

Examination Department sources said that all arrangements have been scheduled to hold the A\L examination from August 2 and will continue till August 24. ( AG)
