Observer staffer Gihan passes away Sunday Observer staffer Gihan Yashita Hettiaratchi died yesterday after a prolonged illness. An old boy of St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya, Gihan as he was popularly known, excelled in sports at school, joined the editorial staff of the Sunday Observer of the Lake House in 1999. A quiet-going, mild-mannered Gihan, who always wore a charming mile, won the hearts of both, his senior and junior colleagues by his pleasing manners, died at a tender age of 27. Funeral will take place on Monday, August 5 at Pasyala, in the afternoon. |
