By Jayanthi Liyanage "Kit Challenge" challenges adventure-spirited local young men and women between the ages 16-25, to enrol for a Sri Lankan version of the world-famous endurance competition "Survivor", consisting of a water-and-land-based trithalon, mind-and-skills activities and ordeals testing innovative ability. 40 Teams, each comprising, two girls and four boys or, two boys and four girls, will outplay and outlast each other in gruelling stints from the Bolgoda Lake banks to Kitulgala and finally at the Ella Adventure Park, pitting their strength in white water rafting, mountain biking, kayaking, running through the wilds, camping and living with basics overnight. The organizers assure that safety-aspects will be looked into and instructors have been trained in Sabha, Malaysia, will be around for an emergency. |
