Tyronne's help for cricket in Bhutan

One-time cricket star Roshan Mahanama and cricket administrator Jayantha Paranathala are currently in Bhutan as part of visiting Foreign Affairs Minister Tyronne Fernando's delegation in order to plan a programme of Sri Lankan assistance to develop the sport in that remote Himalayan kingdom.

The Foreign Minister is presently on an official visit to Bhutan, the last destination of his SAARC visits. The Minister will hold bilateral discussions with his Bhutanese counterpart, Jigmi Thinley who visited Sri Lanka early February this year and several other senior Ministers in Bhutan. The Minister will also brief the Bhutanese leaders on the current developments with reference to the on going peace process. Tyronne Fernando, is the first Sri Lankan Foreign Minister ever to visit Bhutan.
