NMCP Regional Head to meet local industrialists in Trinco

YUGA DEKMA, the Five Day Industrial Exhibition organised by the Industries Ministry has diverted the attention of the industrialists and the business community of the South and the future prospects of development of that region are bright.

This was the view expressed by the Industrial Development Board Chairman Dr. Bandula Perera when "Sunday Observer" contacted him over the phone.

"I must also say that as a result of the Yuga Dekama Industrial Exhibition we keep on receiving inquiries from a number of companies interested in investing in industries in the Trincomalee district", he added.

According Dr. Perera, NMCP Regional Coordinator Gerard Mollink will also be in Sri Lanka from September 2, to 7 to evaluate the industries assisted by the NMCP and to meet the industrialists. Sri Lanka's NMCP Representative S.P.C. Kumarasinghe will be in Trincomalee on September 4 to meet the industrialists at a meeting at the Nilawali Hotel. Mr. Ranawana, Provincial Manager of IDB in Trincomalee has organised the meeting. Mr. Kumarasinghe told the "Sunday Observer" that he would be in Trincomalee with Gerard Mollink to meet the industrialists on September 4. We will brief the local industrialists on the kind of assistance we are capable of giving and assure them that our assistance will be there at their request", he added. The NMCP is working closely with the Industrial Development Board of Sri Lanka.
