Speaker off to Namibia Speaker of the House Joseph Michael Perera left for Namibia on Friday to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentarians' 46th annual meeting. The Commonwealth Parliamentarians meeting which commenced on Sept. 6 will hold its closing ceremony on Sept. 14. The Speaker will lead the Sri Lanka delegation, comprising former Speaker and PA MP Anura Bandaranaike, UNP Media Spokesman and MP Gayantha Karunatilleke, Polonnaruwa District MP Sydney Jayaratne and JVP MP Nandana Gunatilleke. Mrs. Priyani Wijesekera, Acting Secretary General of Parliament will be also in the delegation. |
