From Dubai DJ Rukie answered all the questions we posed to him. He is now the DJ at the Horse Shoe Nightclub in the Quality Inn Horizon Hotel Dubai. A product of St. Thomas' College, Kotte and a mobile DJ since he left school DJ Rukee before he left for Dubai was mixing grooves at The & Pub, Talawathugoda.

Fav song of the 80's and 90's: 80's favourite is Footloose, while my song of the 90's is Fresh by Kool & The Gang.

Fav rap star: Dr. Drere and tracks from his album 'Chronic'.

What qualities do you like in a girl: She should be simple and a cool character who will always understand me.

If you could change anything about yourself what would it be and why: I like to be what I am. A carefree peaceful person and hope everyone else would be the same.

How do you reject advances from girls when you are DJing: By diverting their advances to the music that I dish out.

Are you superstitious: No I' not. I believe that superstition is only for atheist.

Do you check your reflection in the mirror constantly: No. Because I'm confident of myself, therefore I don't think it is necessary.

How many rude thoughts do you have in a day: There's no time for such things, as I am lost on the web, surfing and downloading the latest songs.

Do you believe in love at first sight: No! Because of my past experience, I have found that it does not pay to fall in love at first sight.

Are you the first to hit the dance floor when you are not DJing: No I'm the last do so.

What other profession would you like to be in: I would have liked a career in public relations and customer care. I like to meet people and understand them.

Do you believe in segueing your tracks or talking to your audience: I'd like to talk to my audience at intervals, play music they fancy and make them happy.

Do you belong to the gym syndrome: No I fancy sports. I work out that way.

Do you like to live dangerously: No. Never had and will never do so even in my wildest dreams.

Your fav cartoon character: Tom and Jerry.

Your ideal holiday destination: The hill country where nature and comfort is in abundance.

Which character would you like to play in a film: The character of a moderator because I like to bring about peace and harmony amongst my friends and foes.

What would you do if you ruled the world: I would change the ego and mentality of people who are racists.

What is your top tip on becoming a star DJ: Observe the crowd and cater accordingly.

What would life be like in the year 3000: I don't think there will be DJ's because I guess the music will be computer programmed.
