Jak tree - planting in Koslanda The eighth tree planting ceremony of the National Jak Development Project's (NJDP) of the series will be held at Koslanda Temple, on Saturday, October 5 at 3.00 p.m. Organised by the Upper Watershed Management Project (UWMP) of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the ceremony will initiate planting of 10,000 jak saplings in the area. Buddha Sasana, Justice, Law Reform and National Integration, W. J. M. Lokubandara, will be the chief guest. Bandula Padmakumara, President NJDP and Director, ANCL D. P. Munaweera, Director UWMP, officials of ANCL, Sevana Lotteries, Government and NGOs will also participate. |
