This year's Golden Clef Music Awards is open to all Sri Lankan bands and groups singers and musicians who are performing in the Western Music idiom in the Colombo circuit as well as in the regional hotel circuit.

The ten categories for the competition are:

1. Singer of the Year-Male
2. Singer of the Year-Female
3. Band of the Year
4. Musician of the Year-Soloist in any form
5. Promising Singer of the Year
6. Promising Band of the Year
7. Best Fusion Artist/Band
8. Best Rock/Alternative Music Band
9. Song of the Year
10. Duo/Trio of the Year

In Colombo - Collect your application forms from the Reception counter of Lake House from 9 am-11 pm and thereafter from ANCL Transport Division Security Office (entrance from Regal Cinema end.) Application forms will also be available for collection from the Concierge at the lobby of the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.

In Kandy - from the ANCL branch office at 22, Dalada Veediya.

In Anuradhapura - From the ANCL branch office at 310 1/2, Harischandra Mawatha, New Town.

In Kurunegala - From the ANCL News Agent W.P.A. Pathirana at 156, Puttalam Road.

The panel of judges will be selected once applications close on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at 4.30 pm.

The Grand Golden Clef Awards Show will be held in mid January 2003 and will feature the cream of the music scene drawn from those competing in the ten prestigious categories.
