Alliance Finance joins securitisation club

The Alliance Finance Company Limited has raised Rs. 100 million through a securitisation of lease receipts.

With this the company intends to enter the lucrative high end of the leasing market, which offers a hassle-free total leasing package to corporate and individual clients. The company intends to raise further funds through securitisation of lease receipts in the future.

Most major leasing companies have raised funds by securitising their lease receivables. Securitisation offers a company access to competitive long tern financing as well as not to be reliant on retail banks for its financing requirements.

The issue was structured and placed by First Capital Markets Limited, the corporate debt arm of First Capital Limited. Deutsche Bank was the trustee, while Nithya Partners handled the legal aspects of the issue. Investors were found from Colombo as well as from outstations.

Alliance Finance, a listed company incorporated in 1996, is said to be the only company to receive the ISO 9001 certification for designing, developing and delivering business specific financial solutions.
