Go down
'Memory Lane' again

The now popular sing-a-long series 'Down Memory Lane' organised by the enthusiastic members of the Moratuwa Arts Forum will go on the boards on Sunday November 10 at 6.30 pm. The event with many musicians from Moratuwa participating will be held at Hotel Ranmal, Moratuwa.

This year's two and a half hours program arranged by the Project Committee headed by Priya Peiris and Brian Coorey will contain many vintage songs of English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh and American origin plus cowboy and plantation songs, negro spirituals, wartime favourites and evergreen hit songs recorded by singers belonging to the early era.

A beautifully designed songbook complete with lyrics of 100 oldies will be given to each member of the audience. The usual vintage orchestra comprising members of MAF will provide the musical backing and the show will be compered by Arun Dias Bandaranaike. 'Down Memory Lane' is sponsored by the Bank of Ceylon.
