SriLankan Airlines bags another awards Sri Lankan Airlines has won the distinction of having being awarded 'Best Airline in South Asia in 2002' by the prestigious travel trade magazine Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Asia and TTG (China). The annual TTG awards organised by TTG Asia Media and presented to outstanding members of the travel trade within the Asia Pacific region, has over the years gained the distinction of becoming the msot coveted and influential award ceremony in the region's travel industry. The readers of TTG Asia and TTG (China) have unanimously voted SriLankan Airlines as the top airline of the South Asia region for 2002. The award was based on the following criteria: 1. Airline based in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka or Bangladesh operating Asia-Pacific routes with the best services, network and schedules, 2. Most agent-friendly in terms of reservations, confirmations and commission payments; 3. Most professional sales and marketing teams in terms of innovative ideas, incentive programs and servicing. SriLankan Airlines is an all-Airbus carrier which offers many state-of-the-art features of passenger comfort and entertainment on its A330s and A340s including in-seat television and telephone facilities, video on demand in business class, air-to-ground fax and laptop recharging facilities. |
