Seminars uplift printing industry

The Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) in collaboration with INGRIN of the Netherlands had conducted a series of seminars in printing technology in Sri Lanka to improve the knowledge of personnel in the printing and graphics industry.

The seminar series known as TOSPAP was held from October 2001 to July 2002.

INGRIN Netherlands had conducted nine such seminars on new developments in the graphics and printing industry in Europe with the help of experts in the industry in the Netherlands.

Ananda Wickremaratne, Managing Director and CEO INGRIN Sri Lanka and Keerthi Gunawardena, Secretary SLAP visited the Netherlands recently for the final presentation and discussion of the concluded seminars with Robert van Weldam, founder INGRIN Foundation, a team of INGRIN consultants and European union (EU) officers.

The Sri Lankan team met EU officers Marisa Wyganowski and Sylvie Giliseen-Degryse and discussed the final report and the outcome of the TOSPAP seminars.
